Doris Rawbottom and Elsie Arkwright first made their appearance in 2002 when Anne Wareing and Kath Eccleston appeared on Radio Lancashire's morning programme 'The Happy Daft Farm'
The two write in rhyme about the lives and troubles of two feisty Lancashire housewives. They go all over Lancasire and further afield performing their rhymes, hopefully making people laugh, which indeed they did the last time they came to Whalley.
The cost of £6 will include Lancashire Hot Pot for those buying their tickets in advance. There will also be a raffle with the proceeds going to Derian House Children's Hospice.

A mix of originals and great covers, virtuosic playing, audience participation (for those who like to get involved) ad the varied exotic ingredients make the Lava experience one to remember with a smile on your face!!

Generally regarded as scandalous, John Cleland’s early English novel ‘Fanny Hill’, has been adapted for the stage by Peter McGarry . Colourful and erotically charged it proved an exciting and entertaining evening of theatre. It was a racy evening, a cross between a historic period piece and Expressionist theatre, with knowing, contemporary overtones - say, Hogarth crossed with Big Brother.
Fanny Hill a beautiful country bumpkin, is lured into a life of Sin in Georgian London; poverty meeting greed and debauchery as society is exposed. Jane Collins played the lovely heroine and Debby Kelly her maid Phoebe, her companion, lover and narrator, as we witness her rise and rise through society, with Roger Cook and Mike Brooksbank playing the multitude of men who facilitate this.

Born in France in the early 60’s, Claude Bourbon grew up in Switzerland, where he was classically trained for many years. This finger picking guitarist has performed and studied all over the world; he has crafted an unbelievable fusion of classical and jazz, with ethereal Eastern influences, Spanish and Latin elements with strains of Western folk.
The unique Monsieur Bourbon is a formidable performer. He may have his roots in the blues, but he is inspired by music and song from all around the world, taking these sounds and weaving them into a performance of blues, rock, jazz, songs and melodies that defy a label, all delivered with a gravely voice.
Claude’s inimitable style incorporates all five digits on each hand dancing independently but in unison, plucking, picking and strumming at such speed and precision that his fingers often seem to melt into a blur. Thousands of people in the UK, Europe and USA have enjoyed listening to this virtuoso and for the majority of his audience it is an experience that compels them to return again and again to hear and watch him play, as his fingers lightly dance over the strings of his guitar and create a unique sound that is ’Claude’.
